VIVA, VIVE! means "Long live life!" and now you can experience Holstebro Black Box Dance Company (Marie Brolin-Tani) translate those word into dance along with some of the best young dancers from Brazil's Ballet Jovem Palácio Das Artes. The show consists of three separate ballets, all about love, passion, mystery and young energy.
Four choreographers from Brazil, Denmark, Sweden and South Africa offers their take on powerful contemporary dance to the rhythms and sounds of among others Egberto Gismonti, Arvo Pärt and Henrik Munch.
The first part is "Impromptu" by Tindaro Silvano. A fast-paced choreography sparkling with the young energy of the nightlife in the Brazilian metropolis - choreographed meticulously, but with the feeling of freedom and improvisation.
In the second part, "Being Me - Being You", Marie Brolin-Tani and Melody Putu takes on young people's search for love and intimacy. Where both solitude and togetherness can be difficult.
The third part is "Rites" by Alessandro Sousa Pereira which is about the cultural manifestation which is present regardless of where you come from and what religion you have.

About Black Box Dance Company

Black Box Dance Company in Holstebro started in the spring of 2013 with Marie Brolin-Tani as artistic director. She originally trained as a modern dancer in Stockholm, but made her breakthrough in Aarhus. Here she was an integral part in the establishing of a professional dance environment through the MBT Dance Theatre - located in the same house wheres Bora Bora now finds itself. In 2001 she was artistic director at the Dance Theatre of Skåne in Lund, Sweden, and then came back in 2013 to the Danish dance scene.
