PART OF MOVE YOUR MIND FESTIVAL
Join the workshop with choreographer Helle Bach and feel the art of dance on your own body before you go to a performance.
This evening you will be in the workshop from 17:00 to 19:00 and afterwords be attending the performance "R.OSA – 10 Exercises for New Virtuosities" at Bora Bora from 19:30 to approx. 21:00
Practically the workshop will consist of a guided physical warm-up and specific exercises. Through both improvisations, simple choreographies and partner work (at a corona distance) you will be introduced to dance's different approaches to the body - ie an investigation and introduction to the different ways in which the dance uses the body to "speak".
The workshop is for those who would like to dive into dance as an expression by getting on the floor yourself. Or for whoever just wants to feel the joy of moving the body. All adults can participate regardless of age and since it is your body that is the starting point, it does not matter whether you are a beginner or a seasoned dancer.
There are three workshops with Helle Bach during the Move Your Mind festival: Wednesdays 7th, 14th and 21th of October. The three workshops are independent of each other, so you can participate in one, two or all three depending on what suits you.
The interview in the video above is from one of Helle Bachs earlier workshops (in Danish).
Number of participants limited to 14 people.
PLEASE NOTE! Your ticket is valid for both the workshop and the performance.
The workshop will take place at Studio 2, Brobjergskolen, Valdemarsgade 1G st. th, 8000 Aarhus C.
That is the building next door to Bora Bora - towards Scandinavian Center.
