I’m Short – I’m Bogart is based on The Big Sleep from 1946, a classic film noir with Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall in the leading parts.
In an inferior scenography two performers are trying to stage themselves, each other and excerpts from a film. During the acquiring process the two have copied, interpreted, misunderstood, misplaced, overplayed and underplayed scenes and elements from the original.
In varying distance between ambition and abilities the stage is set for a neo-noir meta crime where the performers must act as sniffer dogs to identify their own plot within the plot. With strong suspicion of a breach of fiction contract, the performance examines the notion of reality and our will to illusion.
The performance runs from April 4th-6th to April 10th-13th.
