Code of conduct at Bora Bora

Welcome to the dance house!

To all artists, staff, volunteers and guests.
The following things, guidelines and security aspects must be told to all members working at Bora Bora.

Bora Bora strives for creating a safer space for everybody working at and visiting Bora Bora.

 

We ask everyone who participates in the activities and events at Bora Bora to respect and act in accordance to the Ethical Guidelines below:

  • Each of us are responsible for building an atmosphere of respect and safety together.
  • Everybody must be treated with respect.
  • Everyone has the same right to speak and act but also the duty to consider others.
  • Don’t accept any kind of discrimination or harassment from yourself or from others and strive for dialogue when in doubt. We don’t tolerate racism, transphobia, homophobia, ableism, sexism or any other oppressive behavior or language. By offending these guidelines you will be excluding yourself from the venue.
  • Don’t make assumptions about anyone’s sexuality, gender, nationality, religion, values, socioeconomic background, health, appearance or ability to function.
  • Respect other people’s physical, mental, and emotional personal space.
  • If there is something we should know about, please contact technical manager or executive director at the venue or your own manager.
  • There’s zero tolerance to alcohol and drugs when we work.
  • All smoking and vaping is outdoors.
  • If you are feeling sick, contact your own manager or the venue’s producer to coordinate further actions.

 

Bora Bora commits to:

  • Informing all guests, artists and staff about our Ethical Guidelines.
  • Treating all visitors, artists and staff equally, regardless of the person’s gender, age, ethnic origin, religion or belief, opinion, state of health, disability or sexual orientation.
  • Being respectful towards the feedback we receive, taking it into account in our own activities in the future.
  • Taking all reports of discrimination or harassment seriously.

 

Safety:

  • There’s no such hurry, that you’d have to run.
  • When there’s an audience in the house, crisis management is done by the technical manager and host. Follow the instructions given by them.
  • If in need of emergency or first aid, let the technical manager or host know.
  • Crisis communication on behalf of the theater to the authorities and press is done only by executive director Lotte Kofod Ludvigsen.
