ReCall

The young dancers from DTAdans invite the audience on a physical journey. – The journey that is experienced when we remember, retell and interpret.

The performance ReCall calls into question something as fundamental and identity-creating as the memories and stories we tell ourselves, about ourselves, about our surroundings and about each other.

In the performance, the audience and the dancers flow through a dynamic set of different memory echoes. In a bodily reflection, the dancers debate the many thoughts and feelings we come face to face with when we remember.

You will experience dance created by guest choreographers Amalie Stitz, Maria Pearl Weise, Paulína Šmatláková and Jens Schyth Brøndum, as well as choreography by the head of the dance line, Lene Bonde. All choreographies are created in close artistic collaboration with the dancers.

Large parts of “ReCall’s” sound universe have been composed especially for the show. It includes music created by Emma Lillelund Saugaard, who is a former student at the Danish Talent Academy. Her musical contribution to the “ReCall” performance is part of her bachelor project, as a student at the Jutland Conservatory of Music. Students from the Production Line at MGK in Holstebro have also composed music as part of their courses in co-creation.
