Yellow Box
Part of the Dance Baby Dance Festival
(ALL AGES)
A transparent box filled with yellow foam. Arms and legs emerge. How many people are inside? FREE.
Age group: All ages
A transparent box filled with yellow foam. Arms and legs emerge. How many people are inside? They pop out more. Sometimes they are obstructed by the foam squares and sometimes they are pushed forward by them. A bit like dancing and running in a dream. Over the course of 20 minutes, the audience discovers more and more and can walk around and observe what happens. FREE.
The performance was about 20 minutes long and will be shown at Dokk1 three times a day on 23 and 24 September. It is free to experience and you can come and go as you please.
Address: DOKK1, Hack Kampmanns Plads 2, Aarhus C
Reviews
“YELLOW BOX economises with its effects. The dancers move smoothly and precisely within a clear scenography. And choreographically, there is imagination and variety at play. It is all refreshing and liberating in a time when some theatres and dance companies cram far too much and far too many distracting and confusing things into their performances, as if they are afraid to bore the audience and do not believe that the audience likes to explore, be challenged and surprised.”
