Step into the quiet of the crypt at Von Frue Kirke and immerse yourself in The Whispering Room - a free sound installation where 12 local voices share intimate stories of loss, love, and grief.

Part of the Death Is Not The End project, The Whispering Room was born from an overwhelming community response to an open call for participants. While only six could be part of the live performance, the depth and resonance of the stories received inspired the creation of this companion installation—an ever-present space where more voices can be heard.
Wander freely through the crypt, where each corner holds a story, and the air is filled with the quiet power of testimony. These spoken reflections—raw, tender, and deeply human—invite you to listen deeply, to be present, and to reflect on the ways love lingers, even in the face of loss.
The installation is open during church hours and is free to experience. No tickets or reservations are required. Come, listen, and let the voices of your community echo gently within you.
