Dansestudiets Danseuddannelse (DK)
(U)MULIGT
August 16th 2026, 15:30 (20 min.)
(U)MULIGT [(IM)POSSIBLE] is a dance performance that explores the norms we live by – both those we create ourselves and those that have been imposed on us. How much of our lives is governed by expectations? How much is shaped by where we come from, how we were brought up, and the norms we grew up with? Who actually decides what is possible and what is impossible?
The graduation performance for the Dance Studio’s Dance Programme, Class of 24/25, is a play on the line between the possible and the impossible – a reminder that the impossible only exists if we accept it.
Dancers of various nationalities tell their stories of faith and doubt, of upbringing and culture, and of the courage to dare.
The graduation performance premiered at Bora Bora – Dance and Visual Theatre in Aarhus on Thursday 19 June 2025
NB: A touring version of the full-length performance will be shown at Aarhus Summerdance. The touring version features three dancers.
ABOUT THE DANCE STUDIO’S DANCE TRAINING PROGRAMME
The Dance Studio’s Dance Training Programme is a one-year full-time course, based in the heart of Aarhus. DSDU focuses on developing and strengthening the individual, versatile dancer.
Through technical training and a focus on artistic expression, students develop a strong foundation in a range of dance styles, including contemporary and hip hop.
The programme offers a safe and healthy learning environment where dancers learn to look after themselves through theoretical knowledge and individual mentoring.
