Move Your Body – Move Your Mind

In the movement workshop with choreographer Helle Bach you feel the art of dance on your own body. The workshop is for those of you who would like to dive into dance as an expression by getting on the floor yourself. Or for those of you who just want to feel the joy of your body moving.

Want to feel the art of dance on your own body before going to the performance – Join a workshop with choreographer Helle Bach! Here you get an awakening of the senses and a fine-tuning of your listening device. Your mirror neurons are driven into position at the starting line and you’ll be ready for an extended experience of the evening’s performance.

The workshop will consist of a guided physical warm-up and specific exercises. Through both guided improvisations, simple movement sequences/choreographies and partner work, you will experience the different approaches to the body by dancing. This is a workshop where your senses get an introduction to the different ways that dance uses the body to tell a story.

The workshop is for you who would like to dive into dance as an expression by getting on the floor yourself. Or for you who just want to feel the joy in your moving body. All adults can participate, regardless of age. It does not matter whether you are a beginner or an experienced dancer.

Helle Bach is a trained dancer from Balletakademien Gothenburg and Ménagerie de Verre, Paris. She worked as a dancer in France from 1991 until 2003. In 2004 she founded the company dadadans, and moved to Aarhus in 2007 – first associated with EntréScenen and now BORA BORA.

Helle Bach has continuously taught dance both as a high school teacher, to children, young people and adults as well as professional at the Dansstationen in Malmö and DanseHallerne in Copenhagen.

In 2015, Helle started the movement studio “Det er rørende” in Aarhus, where the focus is on mindfulness for the moving body.
