A glamrock party for kids and their grown-ups! Rock me Baby fuses dance, theatre and live music in a sparkling world of glitter and big hair. With humour and bold costumes, it playfully challenges gender norms and invites all ages to move, listen and join the fun.
What happens when glamrock meets dance theatre – and the audience is made up of babies, toddlers and their grown-ups?
Rock Me Baby is a colourful and high-energy performance for children aged 0–6 and their adults, where live music, movement and glitter come together in a joyful sensory experience. Five performers take the stage as a band and invite the audience into a playful world of sparkling costumes, rocking riffs and poetic soundscapes.
The show draws inspiration from 70s and 80s glam and hair rock, blending catchy pop and heavy guitar in a dynamic live concert experience – tailored to even the youngest audience members. With adjusted volume and a safe atmosphere, children and adults alike are free to move, listen, laugh, or simply take it all in.
Rock Me Baby also challenges gender norms with humour and flair. The male performers wear bold, androgynous costumes that expand the idea of what gender can be. The performance asks what art for the very young can be – and proves it can be loud, sparkly, meaningful and fun.
PRACTICAL INFORMATION:
The performance is for children aged 0–6 and aims to create a safe environment with a pace and sound level that suits everyone.

“We want to show the diversity of what dance for toddlers can be, and Rock Me Baby presents a refreshing and playful take on glam rock at eye level with the youngest. Absolutely irresistible!”
– Creative and executive director Lotte Kofod Ludvigsen
Reviews
“If one is to play rock for babies – and I believe that one should – Rock Me Baby has found good ways to do it. The performance is both childlike and adult at the same time. A sensory universe of sound, light, colors, fabric, and movement. The performance is both childlike and adult at the same time”
– Hilde Halvorsrød, Periskop
