ROOM FOR CONVERSATION: AGE
ABOUT THE FESTIVAL AND THE THEME OF THE EVENING
The Room for Conversation will be held on the 14th of November where the subject of Age will be related to the performance “Listening Party”. “Listening Party” can be experienced on the 15th – 17th November. “Listening Party” is a festive performance created in cooperation with local teens at the age of 14-19 years old. The teens will be presenting themselves, their ideas, worries, thoughts and dreams on stage.
You are welcome to participate in the Room for Conversation regardless of whether you will see Listening Party or not, but we will recommend you experience the performance afterwards with the dialogues and questions from Room for Conversation in mind.
We ask questions such as:
– When would you say that you’re old?
– What can we learn from previous generations?
– How would you describe our time of age?
– Is your mental age representative of your physical age?
This room for conversation will be in Danish and entrance is free – but you need to sign up by ordering a free ticket.
WHAT IS ROOM FOR A CONVERSATION?
Room for Conversation focuses on the good conversation. It is a unique opportunity to meet others and talk about a given theme. Come alone or with friends, the host will make sure you get to talk to the other guests. When you show up, the host will find you a conversation partner you do not know yet. We rotate during the evening, so you get to talk to a lot of different people and bring home new perspectives. The conversations will be both in pairs and in groups.
You can participate regardless of background and without preparation. The conversation room will take 2 hours and will be in Danish.
Room for Conversation is a concept developed by Borgerlyst to get people talking about specific given subjects. Read more at samtalesaloner.dk
