Slinger i valsen [A Wobbly Walz]

DON and GNU throw themselves into a waltz with life itself, but they struggle to find the rhythm, and when emotions take over, even the most beautiful dance becomes a battle, duels play out in every movement, and no one is sure who will win what.

In the midst of it all, a mysterious stranger enters – like a modern-day hero or an unpredictable villain. A new pulse in a familiar universe. A character with multiple sides, edges and possibilities, and everything is turned upside down…

Look forward to an action-packed, physical odyssey that blends the physical poetry of slapstick with Tarantino’s unique style. Inspired by the aesthetics and rhythm of silent film, we explore whether our modern, colour-saturated world is becoming too square. Can we rediscover hope and connection in the imperfect, the raw and the unpredictable?

A talk on humour
On March 11th and 12th there is a talk about humour IN DANISH before the performance. It costs an extra 50 DKK on top of the ticket price for the performance and available as an extra item as part of the ticket buying process for the two mentioned dates.

DON GNU makes action theater and dance combined in a playful and poetic universe.

The company was established in 2010 by the choreographers Jannik Elkær and Kristoffer Louis Andrup Pedersen, who together are responsible for the artistic management. DON GNU are house artist at Bora Bora.

Today, DON GNU is one of the country’s most touring companies, which in addition to extensive touring activities in Denmark, has also toured in large parts of the world, including all the Nordic countries, South Korea, Canada, large parts of Europe and Cuba.
