Speculo

The performance SPECULO explores the theme of “mirroring” in a fusion of different dance styles. As humans, we have an innate tendency to imitate and mirror each other’s emotions, movements and expressions. When we are mirrored by others, it can give us a unique opportunity to see ourselves from a new perspective that we may not have been aware of. This insight plays a crucial role in self-awareness, empathy and relationship building.

The performance reflects on the dancers’ own identity, behavior and human interaction. The performance uses mirrors as a symbol of both self-awareness and vanity, creating a thought-provoking experience that plays with both seriousness and humor.

Dansestudiets Danseuddannelse is a 1-year full-time program located in the heart of Aarhus.

DSDU focuses on developing and strengthening the individual, versatile dancer. Through technical training and a focus on artistic expression, students develop a strong foundation in a variety of dance styles, including modern dance and hip hop.

The program provides a safe and healthy learning environment where dancers learn to take care of themselves through theoretical knowledge and individual guidance.
