The forest. You think it’s magical. The forest. You think it equals timber. Now you’re here. In the forest. There is no turning back. We have called you. You have gone out. In the forest.
“Under Forest” is a participatory walking performance where you are invited to a meditative moment in the forest – close to the world’s largest natural network. In and under the forest.

Secret Hotel has for many years created participatory performances about and with the creatures we share the planet with, such as ants and bees. Works that are both sensory and intellectually stimulating.

A Bora Bora co-production.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION

Conducted in Danish.
The performance takes place in a forest near Aarhus and is not suitable for people with walking difficulties or wheelchair users.
The bus to the venue departs from Bora Bora at 19.30 and is locked during the performance. Bags etc. can be stored here. The performance lasts approx. 90 min. (total time from departure from Bora Bora to arrival at the same location approx. 120 min.)
The bus returns 5-10 minutes after the show is over.
Further information by email and text message the day before the performance, subject to change.
Dress to be in the forest for 90 min. almost regardless of the weather.
Umbrellas cannot be taken during the performance.
If there is a cancellation, we will contact you by email at least 1 hour before the performance.

Secret Hotel and Artistic Director Christine Fentz create audience-engaging performing arts – experiences that are both immediately sensual and at the same time stimulating to the intellect. Since 2008, the focus has been to raise people’s awareness of the creatures we share the planet with.

Our works can be site-specific events and walks in specific landscapes, performance-lectures or seasonal rituals. At the centre is the collaboration with the more-than-human and seeing the audience as “guests” and co-creators.

Secret Hotel is based in Aarhus and works closely with its sister organisation Earthwise Residency on Mols.
