Upside Down
What happens when the subconscious takes over and we step into an upside-down world?
“Upside Down” invites the audience into a dreamlike universe where reality and fantasy merge. Here, daydreams give way to surreal nocturnal glimpses, where logic slowly dissolves.
The dancers’ movements emerge as images of thoughts, memories and sensations that do not always hang together. The atmosphere is both captivating and, at times, slightly unsettling – like something familiar that nevertheless feels slightly out of place.
The soundscape in “Upside Down” has been created by musician Dorottya Máté, with additional music by Murcof.

About Unikum Dansekompagni
Unikum Dance Company is Dansestudiet’s company and flagship. We select talented dancers aged 18 and over who have a particular desire to dedicate themselves to dance. At Unikum Dance Company, our aim is to train and develop versatile dancers across a range of different styles.
The company is a fusion dance company, which means we work within both contemporary and urban dance styles. Consequently, the choreographic material will also primarily be a fusion of various genres. We place great emphasis on working with the dancers’ personal expression and their own unique style.
