MASS EFFECT

Now is your chance to take part in the award-winning Danish performance group HimHerandIt Productions’ groundbreaking production “Mass Effect” at the Aarhus Summer Dance festival in Musikhusparken.

We’re looking for 20 committed volunteers who want to take to the stage in an intense and energetic exploration of endurance, community and resilience.

Dates

Are you ready to take to the stage? If so, you’ll need to be available on the following dates:

12 or 13 August: Evening rehearsal at Musikhuset
15 August: Morning rehearsal and performance in Musikhusparken

What can you expect?

As a volunteer, you’ll be an important part of the final 15 electrifying minutes of “Mass Effect”.

You don’t need any dance experience – the most important thing is your desire to get involved and contribute to the community. You’ll receive an introductory video before the rehearsals, and through two workshops you’ll learn simple yet effective choreography.

Get ready to move, get your heart rate up and help create magic on stage.

About the performance

“Mass Effect” is an intense exploration of physical endurance and collective resilience. Over 45 minutes, a team of professional dancers challenges the limits of human capability.

In the performance’s explosive climax, local volunteers (that could be you!) flood onto the stage and fill the space with energy, joy and a sense of community. Together, we create an experience that is both powerful and unforgettable.

The performance will take place as part of the city’s new dance festival, Aarhus Summer Dance, in Musikhusparken.

Through a unique combination of dance, physical theatre and active audience participation, we challenge and expand the notion of what performing arts can be.
